Providing Utah's #1 honestly raw & pure Cold Extract honey.
Our passion for beekeeping began over 140 years ago when my great great great grandfather Benjamin ordered 100 beehives in the back of a horse drawn wagon. Upon arrival, most had been smothered by the long hot journey. Grandpa Benji salvaged what few were left and worked hard to multiply them, greatly surpassing the number that had been lost. There was no Amazon refund back then. Benji loved honey. When he was younger it once helped him nearly avoid starvation. Benji ultimately taught his wealthy son Dave the trade, who then passed the skill on to his son Ben. Ben survived the depression trading honey and many other farm goods to provide for his family. Ben believed that work solved all problems. My father, Boydean, was the only posterity of his with any interest in Honey Bees. He helped his grandfather fix boxes and sell bees to pay for schooling. Growing up we never wore bee suits. Suits were expensive and grandpa knew “bee-havior”, as it was passed down, and managed without protection. Bees were mostly a hobby at our homestead until my father retired from contracting and decided to turn beekeeping back into a business. No doubt great great great grandpa Benji would be proud!
Today our little army of 60 million bees happily performs natural pollinating services to the general community across Utah & other surrounding counties. If you live nearby, chances are you have seen them working hard in your garden. Thank you for treating them kindly. There are over 100 flower species bees love. Aside from the countless breeds of flowers that bees forage, most people don't know bees actually prefer common weeds including black medic, chickweed, clover, bellflower, dandelion, dock, morning glory, henbit, mullein, pigweed, plantain, goathead, shepherd’s purse, spurge, thistle, violets, whitetop, yarrow. Weeds have more nutrients and can give honey some powerful medicinal benefits.
By understanding honey chemistry, we are able to package and deliver the raw quality our customers expect, while maintaining all the natural, nutritional and medicinal benefits. As 5th generation beekeepers, we're honored to serve our community while procuring the best raw multi floral Utah honey money can buy.
